Pretty much exactly what my title asks. I have the opportunity to stick (1) 2 GB RAM chip into my Core Solo Mac Mini or keep the (2) 1GB RAM chips that are already in there. Anyone have an answer to this one?

Thanks.

I did this with my MacBook and I see huge improvement over 1GB.

I can actually run Parallels Desktop and TextEdit at the same time:p.

Either way, I'll have 2 GB, it's either going to be one chip or two equaling 2 GB. I was just wondering if there is an advantage of having two equal amounts of RAM in each slot or if it is more convenient and efficient for the computer to have it all in one slot?

The memory can be addressed via dual channels, so 2 slots with matched modules are slightly faster than 1 slot with the same amount of RAM. Don't waste your money changing what you already have.
