Any private video apps for iPhone 4 that work???

Ok so purchased "Private Video" app a few weeks ago. It imports you video but compresses it. The video looks horrible now!

Are there any apps out there that do not compress your iPhone 4 video?

Pixelpipe will allow you upload your IP4 videos to a variety of sites in HD without compressing them.

I want to keep the files locked on my iPhone. Looking for an app like that.

I'm looking for the same thing. idiscrete is my favorite private app but even that compresses videos. I can understand compressing videos to mms or email but it sucks that they compress them just to put them in the app and keep it on the phone.

I use Video Safe (from Collect3). If you import the video, it gets compressed and looks like crap. But it has the ability to use ftp and that transfers the videos without any modifications. Although it means you first have to transfer them to your computer. They claim that's all the SDK will allow. There's no way to import them at full resolution.

Thanks for the reply. Never used ftp before, is it fairly simple to use?

I'm a computer programmer. I'd say it's a hassle, but not hard. You fire up the app, go to Settings, start the FTP server. Then open your FTP client on your computer, connect to your phone (the app will tell you the address) and push the files. Like I said, it's a hassle, but not a giant hassle. And this only works if your phone is on the same wi-fi as your computer.

But if you're less familiar with that kind of stuff, it may take you a little time to get all the steps down right and figure out what you're doing.

I think Collect3 has help and videos even on their site. If that's the product you use, I'd head over their and ask on their forums. You're likely to get a lot more help there.

For the record, it also has the ability to transfer things with it's built-in web server as well. And up until iOS4, you could even do it with USB, but that's gone with the latest release.
