Any pro reviews yet of the new Mini?

All I see so far are a bunch of hands on quick reviews but nothing really in-depth.
 
I think by Wednesday morning in North America, maybe earlier from Australia or Asia. Depends on the embargo agreement. We could even see reviews later today or sometime tomorrow.

Maybe someone here knows something about Apple's practice on embargoes.

AppleInsider got their hands on one, they made a video and had a web review.

Now both video and webpage are gone.


I assume the one who gave them Mac for a test wasn’t happy with that?

If that's what happened, it suggests that selected reviewers do indeed have the mini and are waiting for an embargo to lift.

Yes, they do. I saw the video on the YouTube with my own eyes.

I finished watching the video, then I closed the YouTube app. Few moments later, I opened the YouTube again, to copy a link of this video, and share it with you and it was gone.

But the web review was still there. That I managed to share here. Now, it’s gone too. There’s just blank page.
 
The reviews of the new iPad Pro are all coming out today, starting early this morning. That's two days ahead of the official release date. Jonathan Morrison, in his YouTube description, says that he had 72 hours with it:


His review is just one of many published in the last few hours.

Hopefully "pro" reviews include lots of YouTube halfwits wearing sunglasses and screaming ... :D

In the interim, did you get a chance to read the web article? Or just watch the video? Any "spoilers"? General takeaways?

It was a very basic review. There were couple of shots of Mini, but there was nothing different from older Mini in design. It has black lid on the bottom, just like old one, I assume?

They got their hands on base model, so they had i3 benchmarks posted, cannot remember actual numbers. Single core was just below 5K if I remember correctly, multi core...I don’t know.

They showed the underside, mentioned that RAM is SODIMM and they said that they are gonna show how difficult is to replace it in follow up video.
