Netflix asked for it before it would let me stream HD movies over WIFi to my
13", 4 GB, 256 SSD, 2.13 .

Any downside to installing this Microsoft Software?

Coming from the PC world and wanting to maintain the pristine nature of my MAC's I'm reluctant to install ANY Microsoft products on the MACs I own, like Microsoft Office 2011 for instance. Any downsides to that 2011 MS Office program on a MAC? I need MS Word, Excel and Outlook would be useful too.

Why would there be any downsides? Office for Mac 2011 is very good, considering it's coming from MS ;)

Works great on my MBA 11". Loads in one bounce on the dock. Also, Office 2011 includes a great "full screen" feature that is really nice for the smaller screen estate.

I also haven't had any problems with silverlight.
