Phone calls/meetings are my main thing with AirPods. I prefer the feel and fit of AirPods 1 and 2 to APP, but I've been on APP for 2+ years now mainly because of better battery life. With similar battery life, between AP3 and APP2, I'm not sure if APP2 are worth the extra cash if the outgoing voice quality will be the same.

Thoughts?

Do you need Noise Cancellation/Transparency mode/More stem gesture controls?

If not, then stick with the AP3.

The thing is that wireless mics operate at lower quality bitrate, even non-Apple's ones. So you can get a good call quality from very limited number of TWCs, and in my view, Airpods 1/2/3 will always have better call quality than any Pro's because they are protruding down longer and mics are closer to mouth, thus delivering better call sound quality.

I hope so because AP3 voice call quality is awful. I still use my AP2s for calls.
