i still m not getting why the higher end macbook is still cheaper than its previous models?
 
If you mean why do new computers cost less than the models they're replacing.

Manufacturing costs decrease, suppliers charge less due to higher production yields. Apple's own production yields increases too, therefore less cost per unit. Cost savings passed on to consumers.
 
With student discount the low end macbook is good value for money now. Big annoyance factor is still the 950 gma and combodrive.
