So for years I used TuneUP... yup it was terrible in some ways but the only thing that worked at all. I would ALWAYS go album by album and make sure it was doing it right.. but it DID work. They have been up and down for years.

Now with the new music app (don't get me started on how much I hate this app) it wont even load. I emailed them assuming they were now officially out of business but actually got an email back.

They have been a disaster for so long I"m not really expecting anything... are there ANY apps out there to do this now with the Music app? I'd be willing to pay for a decent one and I would be doing it carefully album by album... I really don't think there is but thought I'd ask the community.

Check out Swinsian. It's a whole different music management app, and it has a great tag editor and duplicate finder.

If what you mean is how to edit ID3 tags of the songs, then I tried all software out there, most are not very friendly and are to use I quickly uninstalled them after 5 mins including the popular ones like Yate (it is horrible IMO)

Then I stumbled upon this app, it is super easy to use, you can also have it fill in the ID3 tags automatically either from the file name (Artist - Song) or to fetch the metadata automatically from the internet. See: Metadatics

I've used Jaikoz and Song Kong for years, ( not so much anymore tbh, because of Apple Music and my own music is sorted), they're from the same dev.
Jaikoz is the hardcore version, incredibly powerful, with enormous customising options, Song Kong is basically set and go.
Pretty sure they both have free trial periods to give it go.

Hope this helps.
