Clearly not the most technologically challenging game on iOS or any setting BUT my kids love it so perhaps we start a Thread to share tips, spoilers and advice?!!?

For example, if gold coins is no object, the most XP valuable crops to grow are cucumbers (167%), Raspberries (160%), Blackcurrant (150%), Blackberries (100%) and Magic raspberries (83%).

If you are looking for combined return on XP and coins, then Raspberries>Blackberries>Cucumber>Strawberries>Blackcurrants

If you introduce hassle factor (i.e. having to harvest frequently) I have ranked the crops in the following order Blackberries>Raspberries>Strawberries>sprouts>peas.

Yes, the humble sprout sir! 2 hour harvest time and it gives back plenty of coins and XPs!!

I won't spoil it by giving answers to riddles but if anyone has any questions, ask ahead!!
 
Ok, clearly a lone voice out there BUT in case people are being shy, I will start by giving some answers to riddles...

Riddle 1 is pretty easy (Onion)

Riddle 2 more tricky: A room that has no floor, walls, windows, and also no door. WHAT IS IT? (mushroom)

Riddle 3: Many foods can make me strong, but give me water and I won't live long. What am I? (answer tomorrow)
 
If anyone is interested what the merits of each extra character smurf is so that you can spend your smurfberries on here's a summary IMHO:

1) Farmer Smurf - gives 20% extra coins and XP to the 8 fields that surround him. In my opinion, well worth upgrading to get the planting as well as the harvest option activated. The basic farmer smurf allows you to "harvest all crops" as default which is a great when you have lots of fields!

2) Ned Smurfling - attractive house and also can in some instances help you with some extra 1,500-2,000 XP per day... I estimate you get a boost of around 33-50% more XP which you can harvest from up to 8 flower beds adjacent to his hat. Which can be as much as 2000XP per day depending on what you have growing and if people water your flowers

3) Smurfette - gives you 15xp twice a day for each smurf she is near. Not easy to see actually happening but it's a freeby in winter so try it out. Besides, it's always good to have a babe or two around and she will blow you kisses!

4) Hefty - halves the amount of time to build stuff. But the time halves on the buy menu so it looks like it is a standard time but it isn't - it's been halved eg the 1 hr house to build is really a 2 hr house

4) lazy smurf - the game eventually gives you 500 XP twice a day once you catch 50 boots and is not too goofy to play and the pond looks good

5) Tailor smurf - gets you the great hats but v expensive

6) painter smurf - allows you to paint objects different colours but the game is really difficult and the colours go a bit unpredictable particularly on the houses

7) baby smurf 60 xp twice a day and quite fun to put to sleep when you touch him

8) Vanity Smurf - 150 xp a day but completely useless smurf photos which unless you are 5 years old are not even vaguely amusing.
 
It's lonely round here! Perhaps I have put the thread in the wrong place!!

Anyway, some of you may have realised that you can cheat in this game by changing the time on your phone or iPod touch so that you can fast forward time and accelerate the ripening of crops.

I would advice against it!! Be careful using the time cheat. The app recognises these (even if you turn off wifi) and some of the smurf characters will stop giving you XP or you may even lose your game altogether and have to start from the beginning.
 
stop bashing the poor guy!

Me and my gf love both this smurfs game and the other grabber one. Its a shame they made it a plant-wait-harvest game, as I personally can't find time to do all that every day...
 
Oh well! I have fairly thick skin so even if there was some abuse, I will carry on regardless!!!
