Any spec on when a 27" new iMac might be announced?

Hey, I'm in desperate need of an upgrade from my late 2013 13" MBP. I was hoping for new 27"+ iMac's to be announced at the event last week. I'm assuming it's going to be bare minimum 1 year before we hear anything else. Does anyone have any speculation? Any chance there's something announced before the end of the summer?

If not I'm highly considering buying a 27" 5k refurb direct from Apple and then selling it when the new ones do come out. Anyone have any experience buying refurb from Apple? Assuming I have nothing to worry about.

The update to the 27" iMac will be announced either at WWDC in June, the iPhone event in September, or a separate event in October. Right now nobody knows which event it will be.

I have always had great experiences with refurbished Apple products.

I bought a refurb iMac from apple, the 4.2 GHz 2017 version. They come to you in "like new" condition.

Another vote for refurb. I have purchased 3 mini's and one imac that way and never a problem

I'm impatiently waiting to upgrade my 27" 2015 iMac, I remember right after the M1 chip was unveiled, getting backlash on here for daring to suggest we wouldn't see an upgrade to the high end iMac by February 2021 LOL. Really hoping the 27/32" M1X/M2 is unveiled at WWDC but I doubt it. I'm expecting October.

I'm wanting to get a YouTube channel off the ground and my iMac is getting a bit antiquated to be doing 4K video editing so I'm on the fence about perhaps buying this new iMac that I find hideous as a placeholder until the high end iMac arrives. Not sure how much money I'd lose on doing that

I'm expecting an "announcement" in June at the WWDC.
I'm expecting it to actually ship in July or early August.

With a bit of luck, perhaps it will ship sooner.
I wasn't expecting the 24" model so soon, but it looks like it was "ready early"...

Earliest is WWDC, but good chance it could be toward end of the year as well given the chip shortage and pacing of the M1 releases thus far.
