Hi Everyone!

I am planning to buy 14” M2 MacBook- actually I’m pretty decided - 30cMax/32/2TB, but…
Want to check for “most attractive” SSD option with good incremental raise in speed i.e Write (I know for each capacity there’s value range)?

It’s been 4ish weeks since launch but can’t seem to find any SSD buying guide.
Major reviewers should’ve gotten hold on all 512gb-8tb models by now?
ALSO:
Are the increments similar to last years’?
Are all reads down by that ~7% vs last years?
How does 2x boost vs 13” M2 for 1TB progress higher since the max is still 7.4 GBps?

Finally, YouTuber MaxTech got 6347read/7246write for 1TB, 16” M2 Max (SEQ1M QD8) using AmorphousDiskMark. MacWorld similar. But for 14” - 6200 (M2 Pro). What do you guys think about such findings?

BR to All,
& Thanks for your help, advice, opinion :)

I just got 6382 read/7390 write on my 14" MBP using Amorphous (specs in signature). Also, I doubt you will see many reviews comparing every configuration of SSD in these Macs, possibly the base spec and the maxed out spec, but not every configuration in between those extremes.

Thank you @dmccloud, I really needed such test. It added insight to my research. Still wondering though where’s that increase in Write as I buy 2TB… since max is ~7,400 and with each capacity there should be higher speed…

Will anyone else join?
Screens of their 14” M2 Pro/Max SSD speed tested? Also would appreciate professional opinion.
