I have an A1082 23" Apple Cinema HD Display. It is my understanding that there are no such thing as 'matte screens', just glossy screens that either have or have not had a matte film adhered onto them.
There are numerous success stories of people using listerine (and similar) to break down the bonding compound between these matte films and the bare screen underneath. You probably know of it's potency for 'correcting' the stain-gate issue...
So, these displays are not worth a whole lot any more, and mine already has a scratch on the screen. If possible, glossy would make all the difference.
Has anyone attempted such a process on these particular monitors? I think I am going to attempt it UNLESS someone has actually tried it *properly* and done more harm than good. I got this at good will for very cheap anyhow.
Thanks
