I'd really appreciate if someone can do OS X testing for some of those Steam games, particularly Counter-Strike and Half-Life 2. They are so old that I'm hoping the HD 3000 can run them at native resolution with high settings.

In most cases, I'd expect almost identical performance to the 13" 2011 since it has the same processor and the CPU's are so closely matched. I owned one thought it performed decently as long as you lowered the settings to the minimums and used a low screen resolution. I stepped up to the MBP 15" though for the discrete video card which is a much better performer at the 1920x1080 resolution I run on my main screen.

Agreed, I almost did this but in the end I just didn't have the money. I'm actually glad that the line updated in the middle of the BTS promo. That combined with the end of Applecare on my Early-2008 Macbook was enough incentive to pick the 13" MBA refresh up.

I don't mind running cs:s, dod:s, or hf2 on low settings... I want to see smooth gameplay on a sick little "netbook" without using bootcamp :apple:
