First it was ios 26 beta 1, if I remeber, that was pulled.
Now Apple just pulled the new firmware for the iPhone Air battery pack.

What's going on?

2 in a row is a bit suspicious

Also people with an air in the 26.2 beta 1 forum looked like they were having a nice time.

Apple's internal beta program is similar to the public program. There are assigned testers and volunteers. In all likelihood, the model mix for Apple internal volunteers is roughly the same as the outside world. In other words, very few Air users. This means Air bugs are less likely to be caught before the public catches them.

Ooh okay, now I understand. Thanks. There is a reason I am a macrumors newbie and you are P6

The bugs can only be with the modem, right. It has the same chip as the iphone 17 pro(with one less gpu core) too. The only other difference is the unusual screen size.

The display driver IC alone will be different because of the different physical properties. Teardowns also show Air uses a different TI charging chip.

The modem itself is different, but the front-end of the RF chain can also be different. The front-end is the analog parts that connect to the antenna while the modem does the digital processing.
