I have been looking for a palmrest protector for my MacBook. I thought the only choice out there was the MarWare protection pack, but I recently stumbled onto MacPads.

I like the fact that the Marware pad has some bounce and is not shiny or rubbery, making it non-stick.

I'm wondering what kind of material the MacPads are made of, and if they are removable or permanent. Also, what is meant by the 'voices' on the MacStyles website?

Anyone have pics of a MacPad on their computer?

Thanks !

After a couple weeks of owning my MBP I was looking for something to protect it from scratches. In came MacStyles and MacPads. I got a black MacStyle with the Saw 'voice' (a.k.a. picture/design) for the top of my MBP and a black MacPad for the hand-rest.

It has been over a year now and I have had 0 problems what-so-ever.

I will make a couple suggestions:
  • make sure the surface is CLEAN (they provide alcohol wipes which do the job)
  • GO SLOW...if you don't it will come out crooked and look horrible
  • get help if you think you need it
  • make sure ALL air bubbles are pushed out AS you proceed...DON'T try to do it after it is on all the way

My camera is currently with a family member on vacation otherwise I would post some pictures.

*EDIT* Look here for some examples.
