Hi everyone and happy new year,
I know there are some reports of success with the Gigabyte Alpine and Titag Ridge cards, SSDTs, OC or Win10 warm booting etc, but I have another question:
Has anyone ever tried TB2 AIC cards which follow the Intel Falcon Ridge reference design, like ASRock TB2 AIC, Dell, HP etc?
I have a TB2 UAD Apollo Interface which I now use with Firewire, but would like to use Thunderbolt. These TB2 cards pop up sometimes for relatively cheap (usually only in the US unfortunately, me sitting in Germany) and they would be a perfect match for my interface.
It's the same chipset which Apple used in the MacPro6,1. Maybe it's possible to activate them somehow in macOS? The drivers should be there so it's mostly a question about activating the device and or course firmware.
I know I am late to the TB game and all these "i got TB working on my MacPro" threads are about TB3.
Thanks everyone!
Cheerio, Ben
