I did something stupid, i will start by admitting that. I am working in europe and i unlocked my original iphone using Ziphone, recently my att contract was modified to allow for international roaming, so i put my US sim in my phone and decided to try to see if i could return it to the way it was pre-unlock, well Ziphone dosent have an option for that (or i didnt use it) and foolishly i hit the unlock button again. well it froze mid re-unlock, probably because it was already unlocked. Anyway i was foolish and shut down my phone during the unlock and caos ensued. Itunes wont recognize it and for a while it wouldnt turn on. I called apple technical support and got shunned with a thats out of warrenty thanks for calling bye. Now my iphone turns on but its been on for almost an hour running in that white script BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0. it just keeps repeating that over and over.... nothing has changed now i am moving here trying to raise my iphone from the dead....

Try to get the iPhone into the DFU state. Once you do that, you should be able to get it back using iTunes. ZiPhone has instructions on how to get to DFU state. Next time you want to relock the phone, remember, Restore in iTunes is the only way to do that.
