Any way to create prompts when I type specific text?

Let me see if I can clarify that some....

I do a lot of typing in Firefox. Without being too specific, there are certain times I need to remember to add a specific line of text depending on what I'm writing about. (For example, if I were writing and wrote the phrase "Macs RAWK" I would want something to alert me either visually or audibly to remind me that I need to follow that up by saying "Windows sux0rz lolz")

That's just an imaginary example of course, but is there any way to do something like this?

There may be a way, but I imagine it would be both complex and a little expensive. I can't think of a way to do it in Firefox without resorting so some sort of custom plug-in that would watch what you type and either replace it with new text (as with some word processors' autotext features) or provide a prompt.

I use Textpander for long bouts of text that I continually type...

The only thing I can really think of off the top of my head would be to, say, add a snippet like "macrawk" write out "Macs RAWK *** don't forget!!!! ****"

But that could get annoying to constantly have to delete the text... unless someone knows of a better route, I'm wondering if that's what I may have to end up doing, which I'd rather not

I know that lots of people like to do custom things to textareas using Greasemonkey. I'm too lazy to look for an example right now, but googling on textarea greasemonkey should turn up some ideas.

TextExpander seems to offer the ability to make a "snippet" include a picture, so you'd only have to delete a single item.

Both of those seem like they could work, but the only pitfall is that the typing I do resides in an extension to Firefox, so I doubt Greasemonkey would take effect there, and the text field only shows text, not pictures...

  You could also use a program like SpellCatcher, and add your own custom dictionary entries. It has the ability to make corrections on the fly, and do it in just about any program that accepts text from the keyboard. So when you type Macs Rawks, you could have it replace the text with "Macs Rawks and I am so hip I don't need to spell correctly". It can change text on the fly, and do auto fill.
