We have a nest cam that's served us well for many years, but they raised the price this year to $80/year, which got me thinking that it might be worth switching over to a camera that uses iCloud Secure Video. I bought a Logitech Circle View & got it set up & so far, so good. Camera seems to offer higher quality video than the nest cam (which is several years old at this point).

While I like that the nest cam (we're on an old plan) gives us 5 days of continuous recording (meaning today I can look back 5 continuous days into the past) & the iCloud/ Logitech option only saves recordings when there is activity, I think I can live with that limitation.

The one thing I can't figure out is how to download/ save video from iCloud. On the nest cam, it was very easy to select the beginning/ ending of the recording & then extract it into a video file. Is that even possible with the iCloud option? I don't see any obvious way to do it.

If you use the Home app to view the icloud videos, there is a share button at bottom left that will allow you to select a single recording.
