I have searched for this a ton and i dont care if the top gets cut off but is there any way I can somehow set an app to use the whole full screen even around and next to the notch, and no i don't wanna black it out at the top. I want to use all the screen real estate. I did some research and during some video games etc the macbook uses the full screen.
The app I have in question is Anki so even if the top bar gets cut off it doesn't matter to me, but I would love to have the whole screen full of display.

I tried doing the google/reddit edit plist thing but I didn't see the text that had something about displaycompability to change it to false.

I did some more research but seems like people still waiting for some type of tweak/hack for this

Thank you!!

I don't have one of these Macs, but I did some brief reading and there is a compatibility mode that can be enabled/disabled via the checkbox in the Get Info panel. However, if the developer opted to hard code the compatibility feature into their app, you may be out of luck.

Here's an article on how to do that, as well as app suggestions that can hide the notch. Not exactly what you want, I know, but if it helps aesthetically, it's something.

Apparently, it's on the Anki developers to do that.
