Any way to guarantee getting the new magsafe adapter?

If I order a macbook pro, any way to tell if I'll get the new magsafe adapter?

I value small adapters. If I by chance get the larger one, will Apple switch it out for me?

I would have to say that by now you are 99.5% likely to get the small one unless you order a refurb. This is just me guessing though, you could always call Apple and ask if the small adapter is shipping with all new MBPs.

Is there an easy way to tell the difference? I just got my MBP last week - the adapter seems really big, but fairly skinny..

I ordered my MBP 15" from the online Apple store in Sweden before the new power adapter was "released", I still got the new (smaller) one. I think you'll be okay. Worst case scenario, just buy the smaller one too.
