Ok so in the stock mail app, i'm able to get a notification when i get an email in 1 of my subfolders.

But the mail badge is still at 0, unless its in the main inbox

Anyway to make a badge icon for subfolder mail?

Thanks

iCloud mail?
The sub folders may be set to not push new emails.
In Settings > Email > Accounts > Fetch new data > iCloud, and choose which folders should be pushed automatically.

Go read again please because that's not what I asked

I get notification and my sub folders are pushed

But if I get an email in a sub folder I don't have the 1 icon on the mail app

Not possible.

There is no option to choose which subfolders would be included in the badge count. And somehow having everything included would be a bad idea, as e.g. junk mail would show on the badge.

Sadly the answer appears to still be "no".

Interested in a workaround? You can set up folders in your list of Smart Mailboxes, so when you tap the mail app, you'll see those folders there with an unread count. My mail badge says 30, but I tap it and see two folders I also monitor, one with 36 unread messages and the other with 45. Or if you don't care about folders, enable the Unread Smart Mailbox and you'll have all your unread messages in one place with the total shown (mine would be 111). When life gives you lemons...

notifications for new mail does not show on the Cover Sheet/ History/ Notification centre when the new mail is received in a folder other than Inbox.
This is happening in iOS 11 Betas, although there was no such problem in iOS 10.3.3 and earlier.

scheduled fetch and notifications for favorited folders have been disabled in iOS 11.x .
