Any way to make external monitor the primary display while running both displays?

Hey guys,

I've been running an external display on my 2nd gen MBP. Works great with the main display closed. I'd like to run both displays simultaneously, but have the external display be my main desktop and the MBP's display be the secondary display...or in other words, I want my desktop icons and dock on the external display.

Is there any way to do this?

in the display preferences, drag the menu bar (in the arrangement tab) to the desired display.
