I use the iPhone to access my gmail, and another POP3 acct. I hate how it only seems to download a small portion of the email. Then I click on the email and have to wait for it to download it. With how everyone loves to use full html mail with images and stuff its too slow sometimes.

Is there a way I can get my iPhone to download the entire email when it checks so later its already there when I look at the inbox? I do have my phone setup so it won't delete from my inbox when I delete it. I think thats called recent mode? Thanks if anyone has a solution for this.

guess I should have been more clear rdowns

Not how to get more emails, how to make it download the whole email instead of just the first 5 lines or whatever. I want to avoid having to wait when I pick a specific email.

I will look at yahoo push, but that would be tricky since I need to read non yahoo accts too :(

I want this feature too

Yahoo Push does not do this as well. The reason I want this is because when I get up in the morning I want the phone to download all my mail before I leave my home WiFi network. I normally read my mail later when I am not in a WiFi location.

i agree that this feature should be added... and after you read the email and quit the mail app, and then go back to read it again, it has to download it again! it seems it only stores it temporarily, which is stupid... why did i buy an 8gb phone if it wont keep my email stored on it...

Mine does not re-load from the server after I have downloaded it. Will need to do more testing since I mostly delete the email when done reading (I only use a COPY on my phone). However, I do have a problem that sometimes it just says "Checking Mail" and does not complete. I see this when I notice that I have not gotten any mail in a while and then I just go in and select the inbox folder. If I go into the Web Interface and then delete all of the mail it starts working again without problems (mail is pushed). Maybe a particular email item is causing the problem. Again, I just send a COPY to Yahoo for Push email so not a big problem for me but this has happened maybe 3 or 4 times in the last couple of weeks.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
