This is one of my biggest pet peeves with Android, but perhaps it's easy to solve for someone with more Android experience. When I open a page on macrumors on my iPhone, it automatically shows the whole page on the screen and the text is easy to read because it simply makes it longer and narrower with more rows of text. When I load the same page on Android, first it loads up and it's all zoomed in. Once I finally zoom out on the page, the words become very small and hard to read because Chrome renders it the same way it would render it on a desktop, very wide and with less rows of text. I have to zoom in to get the text to a readable size and then I have to keep moving the page from left to right to read a whole line. Why doesn't it know that it's loading a page on a mobile device with a vertical screen and not a desktop computer? Is there a way to change this?

I mean, I would prefer not to. I like the desktop version much better, I just prefer the way it renders on iOS and want to replicate it on android.

It's not just forums though, it's most sites.

Sorry, can't help you then. It is one of the reasons I switched to an iPhone.

Well, if it's not changeable then it will be one of the major reasons why I will always stick with an iPhone as my main driver.

Maybe try one of the other browsers and hope it has a better website renderer inside.

Same crap on Firefox. Guess Apple mastered the art of smooth and easy web browsing on a mobile device. Even with the tabs reloading.

For me it mastered the way fonts are rendered.

I dislike Windows' and Android's way of doing it too sharp. I like the smoothness, it is much easier on the eye.
When I see Windows or Android screenshots, I am always reminded of the 1990s just due to the font. But that is a subjective impression and nothing an object can do about it.

Get an iPhone ;)

I have a high respect for Android for many reasons, which is why I choose to also keep an up to date Android device on hand in addition to my iPhone 6, I genuinely enjoy playing with Android. However, as a daily workhorse I wouldn't be able to use it and this is one of the reasons. Actually, it's a MAJOR reason. I do a lot of web browsing on my phone.

I can only recreate this issue on macrumors.

Tried a handful of websites in desktop mode and they all started zoomed all the way out like how you want aside from here.

Using chrome beta

Could've sworn i had this issue on other sites, but right now I too am also seeing it on Macrumors. Maybe Arn does that on purpose. :D
