Any way to measure remaining battery capacity like coconutbattery for Mac?

I just got a new iPhone 2g because the power button on my old one broke and the genius at the Apple Store gave me a new phone under AppleCare. However, the battery life just seems horrendous. I can rarely make it through a single day without having to recharge. Are there any benchmarks that I can test it against. For example, I should be able to run Pandora over EDGE for X hours or something? Is there any sort of utility that I could use to measure the battery's remaining capacity? I would hope that it's in the 90-100% range because I just got the phone a couple weeks ago, but who knows.

My phone is jailbroken, so I can probably install an app, if it exists.

Are you talking about seeing how many charge cycles are left on the battery?

Otherwise I'm saying just look at the battery icon on the phone...

Yeah, like how much of the original capacity the battery still has. For example, my two-year-old MacBook Pro battery has about 70% left, while my new MacBook Pro battery has like 98%.
