Biggest irritation on my iPad is that I'm constantly getting the request to enter my iTunes password. This is happening not just when I download an app or movie, but often just when I'm listening to music I've already purchased or entering apps other than iTunes. Sometimes the popup will appear three or four times in half an hour, right in the middle of watching a film or playing a game.

Is there anything I can set, either on my iPad or in my iTunes account, to reduce these popups?

As far as I can tell no, you don't seem to get the option to make the device remember your password so you don't have to retype it every time. It is pretty annoying I agree but I imiagine they will fix it eventually.

Yes. Never buy a first gen Apple product. They'll fix it eventually, and the price will be lower.

It's certainly not a universal problem, my iPad only asks for a password when I buy something.

A.

Never got this level of requests from the iPhone

I can't figure out why it woud be asking in te midst of running an app.
