Any way to remove a sideloaded, and downloaded, PDF from Books, but keep in iCloud

I have a pretty large PDF library I store in Books on iCloud. I read them mostly on my iPad. I don't really need them downloaded on my Mac. Unfortunately, my only options on the Mac seem to be to delete it everywhere.

Anyone know of a way to delete the download in Catalina, but keep it in iCloud?

That seems to relate to the Finder & iCloud Drive; not Books. But I might check and see if the ~Library Books section lets me do that.
