Hey all. Just picked up a new iPad air 2 and what stood out was the HUGE dock background. Very distracting. I've set accessibility so that it's slightly transparent, but man, that thing takes like 20% of the screen height.

I guess having all my other devices Jailbroke has spoiled me.

Any way to turn that bugger off yet? (just the doc background, not the icons)

I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions, but it's fascinating to me what stands out to different people. I've never given any thought to the dock background on any iDevice I've used.

I know that on the iPhone you can accomplish this by using a solid color background image 1 pixel wide. Mine is set that way now.

Google it, there is an Asian site that has image files for this.

You're looking to do this? (See attached)

Follow instructions here:
https://heyeased.blogspot.com/2016/09/how-to-make-black-dock-on-black.html

Couple of key things to keep in mind:
-when doing it, make sure to have "reduce motion" OFF
-your widgets/notifications will be really, really dark when you swipe right to get to that page (if you pull down for notifications, and then swipe right, they'll appear normal
-also on the widgets screen, the "edit" button will disappear (it's still clickable, you just won't be able to see it)

Enjoy.
