Any way to send and receive text messages on iPad?

Now that I have my iPad I don't use my iPhone except for occasional texts to and from the kids. Are there any apps or other ways to send and receive texts on an iPad?

There are already tons of threads on this, but I will give you a heads up that text+ is probably one of the most recommended. It is. Also the one I use.
