I have 15 email accounts and, like others have mentioned, some accounts just stop downloading mail from time to time. I can find emails that I missed from the days before as I scroll back looking for other emails.

I have a feeling this is happening because the app is pulling email from all 15 accounts too often.

Is there any way to set specific email accounts, accounts that don't receive a lot of email, to simply connect to the server and download email once per day?

Under preferences/general in mail you can set it to check your email accounts as infrequently as 1/hour, or you could set it to manual and check yourself when you want to.

Thank you. I do see that option, but it's for all the accounts in mail. No way to set this individually account by account? There are some accounts where I need to be checked every 5 or 10 minutes. Others that are less important that can be checked once per day...

It's possible that something other than Apple Mail could offer the features your looking for but that's beyond me. There are a bunch to check out and there are threads here that discuss those options. Good luck.

I guess everyone with multiple email accounts just suffers through the same type of thing. Amazing that in 2021 there's no solution for something like this. As if everyone only has one email account.
