I have a USB device that I really need to be able to access from multiple software applications on the same Mac at the same time. At the moment, if I fire up one app, it grabs the USB device and nothing else can use it.

Is there anything available that will allow me to do this?

Thanks.

I have a USB audio device that can be accessed by multiple apps at the same time.

In your case, it might be dependent on the device…but as you haven't divulged the device your chances of getting a solution are low.

I didn't think it was really relevant but it's a Kenwood TS-890S. The USB cable carries both audio and CAT control. I have no interest in sharing the audio, it's the frequency, mode and power settings I need to be able to access on multiple apps.
