I downgraded my Icloud cause no way i am paying their premium for 2tb space because i use little more than the 200gig lower tier option

I got the idrive service instead at 11$ a year for 1 tb. but it does not catch all pics in my album and does only save live photos as single frame.

I own a 1tb ipad and if i could have my pictures automatic transfer to my ipad no expensive icloud service between i would be happy.

So i short how do i automatic sync my COMPLETE iphone photofolder to my ipad without expensive icloud between? is there a setting in options? sync without backup?

Some typer of airdrop that automaticly sync my ipad and iphone pictures without purchase icloud storage.

I purchased a large storage phone and ipad to always have my pictures on both devices.. but without expensive icloud backup that ipad storage becomes useless to me.

I paid a more than premium for large storage on both ipad and iphone so why do i have to pay a premium on to to sync between them?

if airdrop exists it should be possible?

Not clear to me what you have tried, but if you turn on iCloud Photos on iPhone it will sync all photos between all devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The iCloud Photos Library is separate from iCloud Drive.

Lightroom Cloudy will do the same as is better in my opinion, but costs £10 per month for 1TB.

I cant use icloud photos i have 300gb pictures and 50gb icloud.
It seems I need all my pictures in icloud photos to sync between devices.

Looking for some airdrop thing that would ex. sync between iphone and ipad every night when on same wifi.

Have my pics both on ipad and iphone i dont need the icloud photos (i dont need my pics 3 places)

Are you an Amazon Prime subscriber? Take a look at Amazon Photos. Unlimited full resolution photo storage.

I wonder the same thing. How to use syncing only between apple devices without storing on icloud. In the past, you could do this through a setting called My photo stream a checkbox that appeared when turning off icloud syncing. According to Tom's guide It's been a slow-rolling shutdown, with uploads shutting on 2023 June 26th, and the final closure on 2023 July 26th. It’s a shame that apple want to force cloud storage because it regularly costs people money and are also dependent on online functionality if internet goes down you’re data is also down.

I have at least found alternatives one is an app called PhotoSync on AppStore cross-platform solution with native apps for mobile devices, Windows & Mac also works on Linux full resolution transfer with HEIC and RAW support all metadata (EXIF) (GPS) are preserved. This seems like a very good option in my opinion and that you can choose to by a lifetime license is also very important in my opinion. Second alternative is the recommended manual way that apple explains using finder on your Mac to sync the photo library. This is what I have found out so far if someone know something even better please share it. I hope this help.
