I don’t use stickers and have zero interest in them. With iOS 17 when you select the emoji keyboard you get the annoying Frequently Used sticker section on the left.

Is there any way to turn this off? It’s a waste of my screen real estate and makes using emojis more inconvenient.

Click on the "recent emoji" category, it should "hide" the stickers portion, and next time you click on emoji, it will stay hidden untill you deliberately unhide it again.

That’s odd. It works on my iPad but not my iPhone.

EDIT: Scratch that. It doesn’t work in the Messages app, WhatsApp or Notes, but it does work in Signal. No idea what’s going on.

Absolutely.
This only underlines how randomly scattered various settings are around the system - I didn't notice it even though I went on a tour of Settings app right after updating to iOS 17.

Go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> almost at bottom you can turn stickers off from the Emoji-keyboard.
OMG, thank you... another Apple fail... how to turn a simple one step task into a four step arduous task. TY!

It used to like this with iOS 16, but with iOS 17 they are always there. I don't want to toggle off stickers keyboard, just want to keep it as it was. Do you have any solutions for this? The problem is when sticker part appears always in front there's a high chance to click one of the stickers mistakenly, and for example WhatsApp send it directly without asking confirmation.
