Any word on Digital Booklets on the iPad?

All the digital booklets I have (all four of them) are gorgeously designed and seem to be a perfect fit for an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad screen. But, I know that these booklets don't sync to my iPhone.

Does anyone know if they will be viewable on the more desktop-like iPod application on the iPad?

You don't say what format they're in. If you save them in EPUB format you will be able to read them natively.

They're all PDF downloaded from the iTunes store.

They actually have become a bit of a hassle because every time I download an album with one on my iPhone, I have an extra, miniscule download waiting for my computer. (Turns out I now have six.)

I just wish they could be viewable in the iPod app alongside the album they came with. Most of them are just track listings with art overlaid.

Who wants to open a separate application to view a track listing? That seems counter-intuitive.

I was hoping/assuming that the iPad would fix this. (Like viewing PDFs in the Mail app. The Mail app is exited. Neither should the iPod app.)

Also, if the iPad does this, the iPhone/iPod touch should too.

It doesn't seem like that will be a native function. The specs specifically say that PDFs are openable in mail but as the reader goes it's EPUB and Apple's DRMed version of EPUB.

It's all part of the OS which the Touch, iPhone and iPad share. Considering Apple's rocky relationship with Adobe lately I wouldn't hold my breath for new Adobe functionality but who knows, maybe eventually down the road.
