Yeah... I was hoping they would have narrowed it down a bit from just "fall".

LOL

From a developer standpoint, it looks like there will be very few iOS 3 devices around by the end of the year. I wonder how many iPhone version 1 devices are still in use?

Apple rarely gives set release dates this far in advance, and usually not until they have a GM candidate, or close to it. They don't want to announce an arbitrary date only to have to push it back because of a glitch.

I would bet it will come with the new iPod's this september... prob no new iPad but the iOS4 will come out for iPod touches and iPads then...

I think the OP is asking about when the initial beta of the iPad seed will be pushed out.. Nobody aside from Apple (and probably a very select few devs) have iOS 4 on the iPad yet in any form.

Still using original iPhone here. Will be getting a 4G though. My other Apple devices don't like hanging out with something so old. :D

I am and one of my buddy also using it, though our wives are using the 3Gs. Show you how much we love them. :)

Without thinking too much, I assumed that iOSX would go to iPads at the same time as the other devices. As I am now corrected of my bad assumption, I wonder what the differences are between the two. Anyone care to enlighten me further?

I would like to see some fixes on Safari and Mail crashing when it comes to web pages with a lot of pictures on them. Also Mail has a noticeable slow down when selecting multiple emails.
