anyone have an idea of when this might come out for OS X Im more then ready to kick VPC aside for something that supports Video Cards

All I know is that there will be a public beta on 6/1/03. In about 8 days. I am excited about this because it suposedly supports video cards. I hope FWB doesn't dissapoint. Maybe you'll be able to use your VPC disk image in it. If it's as good as I've read it's going to be, VPC will be dead and Microsft can just cancel it like I know they want to.

man - the things look - native. I am only worried about one thing: MS doing it.
So what you say? Well MS will do it better untiol FWB stops making RealPC. Then they will just crappy up the feature unilt no-one uses it anymore.

tell me... why wouldn't they just discontinue the product if they hated it so badly?

because we (mac users) make up 50% of there total income in there MS Office sales. Now - i think we would make up a lot more in VPC sales.
Basically - it actually sells copies of windows to the "enemy" - mac users. If we have to buy VPC and then buy windows on top of that MS makes money twice over.
Why cancel a product that forces people (pretty much, i know about linux) to buy more of your own software because they WANT to???

I don't think they'll cancel it since the Mac Business Unit took it which is really a nice division of MS. They were one of the first groups to make OS X native software. Granted it's not great but Office isn't great to begin with. I think it's better on a Mac than a PC. I don't think they would compete with RealPC to shut them down and then kill the project because technically, they're still making money with Windows sales for RealPC users. Competition will make both units get better. Microsoft isn't known for making high quality software so what are the chances they'll make VPC better than RealPC. Slim in my opinion.

Not only for Mac OS...

VPC isn't just a PC emulator for Mac OS.... It's also a PC emulator that runs on PCs. Why would you want that? Well, for developers it is a BIG time and or money saver. Instead of having a multi boot PC with your target OSes on it all you need is VPC and a copy of Win 9x, Me, 2000, etc.

well, yeah, of course. this is the reason Microsoft ended up with VPC. not because they actually wanted to make all the little puny mac users cry out and plead with them not to discontinue the product but because they will use the virtualPC engine in an upcoming OS. (i forget which, but i don't think it's longhorn, but like i said, i forget. Windows server 2005 or something equally ridiculous i guess.)
