Any words on the date of WWDC?

I know everyone was saying June 28 - July 2, but then it got moved up on the Moscone Center's official website. Now it appears that the "corporate event" once listed, has disappeared all together.

When are the date(s) of WWDC usually announced, and when do you think it will take place (in your opinion)?
 
The dates are usually announced late March I believe, but the iPad launch then the new iPhone OS announcement seem to have delayed the WWDC announcement.

Here are my thoughts on it:

The last 4 WWDC's have taken place in Moscone West.
The last 3 WWDC's have taken place the 2nd week of June.

According to the Mocone Center's website, June 7th - 11th is apparently free in Moscone West.

That week is free along with:
June 21st - 25th
June 28th - July 2nd

Engadget also reports a possible introduction event date of June 22. Last year Apple announced the 3GS at the WWDC keynote in early June. If WWDC is held the week of, say, June 7, I wouldn’t bet against an announcement then.

It seems he may be trying to hint at an earlier date for the WWDC. I know he's not an insider, but apparently he's usually correct about many things Apple.

Thanks for that. But usually, the iPhone is announced on the first day of WWDC, correct? So June 22 doesn't seem that likely. Unless the phone is announced on the 7th and released on the 22nd.

My mistake, last years was the only one annoucned in March for 8 years.

It'll most likely be released on a Friday, just like the last 3.
So potential release days would be:
6/11, 6/18, 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16. I doubt it would be released anytime after the 16th of July.

Do you think we can see a late July or August release though, because of the iPad and stuff?

And if there is a Verizon version to be released in the Fall, I have a feeling they might wait to release the AT&T version in the Fall at the same time.

Personally, I think the fall date is bogus. Apple will release a new iPhone in June/July. That’s a given.

Yeah, probably. I just wonder if there is a CDMA version, if it will be released at the same time or after the usual AT&T version.

I highly doubt that there is going to be a CDMA version. apple isnt going to make a phone for verizon and (maybe) a few other carriers, especially after apple went to verizon with the iPhone first, and it was turned down

That was 3 years ago. Things have changed.

For some reason, I'd probably put my money on the 16th.
