Ive been wanting to get a macbook air and was waiting for an update.

However with the new macbooks, im thinking i can wait for apple to put all the new features (trackpad, display) on the air.

Is that ever going happen? jan?

What do you mean? It has the same trackpad size doing the same functions (except the button) and the screen you mean the black bezel?

If you are looking for a MBA, just get it now because they will never change the screen bezel for sure. I am kind of sure that they will not change the one on the 17" MBP also just because the black one does not look professional and it won't appeal to the majority of people buying these certain products.

I disagree. I'm afraid they will change the display to match other notebooks. They just didn't do Air and 17" Pro yesterday. Doesn't mean they won't in the next revision. And unless they introduce completely new line, I'd say we might forget about any argument with "professional" in it.

If you are ready to wait 6-9 months and want the new look, do so. I'm not and I dislike the new looks, so it's the opposite for me.

yea theres no sense in waiting. i mean if you always gotta have the latest and greatest then I hope you got a fat wallet cuz you gonna be buying a new notebook every couple of months. also I dont care for the new screen for fact that it doesnt have a border around it where the screen is recessed. therefore just IMHO I think that screen is gonna get scuff marks all around the edges and stuff because the screen is resting right on the base of the notebook. I could be way off and yall can call me stupid, thats fine, but thats how it appears in pics and where theres friction there will be scratches. just a thought what do yall think

well not really, just like the mba, the edge of the bezel has a bumped rubber so all the screen area will never ever touch the base of the notebook. even the keyboard being stuffed abit down, so the screen will not be resting on the keyboard as well.

if you want to wait, see what they offer at macworld. they might update the look to match the others then.
