Anybody cloned their Mac to a virtual Mac in Lenovo X1E or C930?

I don't think you can clone your mac to run inside a VM. I've only seen directions to install a clean version of macOS. I did that on my X1E, and there are some basic guides on the net that make it fairly easy. I found Vmware Workstation to work well enough. You would then need to install/copy the data on your current mac over there.
In the end, I found running macOS in a VM to be waste of resources and disk space. I also had some significant stability issues, which I've not been able to pin down as the cause but I suspect it was Vmware. You see to run macOS on Vmware, you need to "unlock" the application. There's a number of unlockers, but those utilities alter and/or update various vmware DLLs. It seems awfully coincidental shortly after setting macOS/Vmware, I started incurring BSODs.
In the end, I wiped my drive and reinstalled windows, and I have no interest in reinstalling vmware and macOS on my X1E.
Why not get a cheap old mac to replace your 2010 machine? 2012 models are fairly inexpensive and will offer a years of service.

Yes, that is why I consider Mac on a virtual machine. I also do not have extra space on my desk. Got a 49" display and a desktop.
I didn't say new, I said used. You can buy a 2012, 2013, or even 2014 for short money.
Unfortunately, you have to say goodbye to Mac OS when you buy non Apple laptop. Laptops are not desktops to work nice with Mac OS.
Either buy used Mac, or get used to Windows/Linux. Otherwise, your adventure with Mac OS on non Apple laptop is not going to be pleasant at all.
