This app looks like a decent audio recorder, but it obviously has some bugs in it. A couple of times the recording has cropped off at the end (although not since I downloaded an update today) and the e-mail thing didn't work at all pre-update.

Basically what I want is something that replicated a digital audio recorder like a reporter would use doing an interview. I like how this one allows you to flip the phone so you can put the microphone where you need it.

At 99 cents, I figured it was worth trying since I haven't been too thrilled with the other two I bought. Any other user opinions?

I've had Recorder, which wasn't too great. I just bought iDicto the other day. It was pretty good, and I think it let me flip it upside down too, but then today Record became free so I replaced iDicto with that because it was nicer looking, and had the same good audio quality, and had a better sync option. iDicto had options to let you change the quality, but I would probably use the highest setting all the time. But it also had a weird ip address transfer where you had to type in a different address each time and the files were some weird format that I couldn't import into iTunes. Even though Record has a few less options, it has a cleaner interface and better sync, but it doesn't allow you to rotate it for the mic. Try it out since its free to see if you like it. Maybe that feature will be added in an update soon?

Have you installed the update for iProRecorder 1.11 from the App Store?

We addressed the recording being cropped and an issue with emailing files. A progress bar has been added to show you how much of the email has been sent and the rate at which it is transfered has ben sped up too.

We will be delivering a free update soon that will enable file transfers to your Mac/PC via web sharing and some other transport features.

feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Yes, I installed that but wrote my post before I had a chance to mess with it again.

As you said, the cropping problem was fixed, as was the e-mail issue. I e-mailed a test to myself and got it within a few minutes. I think I was even able to listen to it on my iPhone.

Thanks for the good work. This looks to be the best audio recorder so far. I'm going to try it out at a football game next week (with my real recorder as a backup) and hope it works better than "Recorder," which crashed within 5 seconds of me trying it at a soccer game. Arrgh.
