I decided to get Theft & Loss protection this time in case phone gets lost or stolen while abroad (outside of the US) because I'm thinking it would be difficult to buy a new iPhone and get it activated through AT&T while outside of the US. Now I wonder if my fears are unfounded. BTW, I'm on a AT&T Family Plan.

How long did it take for you to get a new replacement phone if you filed a claim outside of the US?

If you didn't have Theft & Loss, any hassles buying and activating a phone on AT&T while abroad?

I know I can read Apple's official documents on Theft & Loss, but I'm interested in real world experiences. With insurance when it comes to filing a claim some insurance policies deny everything or make you jump through so many hoops it's not worth having the insurance at all.
