Other Anybody ever get launch day store pickup but they let you switch to a different config/color?

Ordered the 512Gb max but really want the 256gb. Anybody ever get to switch it out in store when you went to pick it up?
 
In my past pick up experience you can do that. You have to to be early so you can reserve and make sure they have it in stock.

I also heard if they have it for walk ins they will exchange it...
