since updating to Ios 18. The message is located in my battery tab, is this a harmless message or can this effect my device?

Yes I have this too. I’ve read online apparently it can last for a few days.
Apparently it goes away then comes back. It might be a bug in ios 18.0. It went away for me after 2 or 3 days then today it came back. Good thing I turn off my phone every night.

Background activity and optimization always occurs particularly when setting up new phones and/or updating software. Just read read thru all the past forums telling folks to wait a few days for all the optimization and indexing to finish. Time frame depends on what’s on your device particularly in the amount of pics. All this message is about is the fact Apple is now telling you it’s happening.
