MP 1,1-5,1 Anybody Have Experience With These Thunderbolt Port Card on Their CMPs?

I am looking for a way to expand the ports on my CMP 5,1 desktop. It is running 10.13, High Sierra.

Yes, Titan Ridge cards were on both of my 5,1s - both of them running Martin's opencore package (sorry if wrong name for that) and MacOS Monterey 12.1.

I had to adjust the plist for opencore to enable it and make sure the card was in the fourth slot (near the drive bays). I used this to connect a LG Ultrafine 5K screen.

I found this; https://www.ebay.com/itm/303544848918, would this work right out of the box? is it hard to install? was yours reliable? I am looking to use it to add more ports to my cMP. I was thinking of adding a thunderbolt dock the additional ports this would provide, and connect my USB-C external portable hard drives.

testing TB3 AIC with MP 5,1

The good folks at egpu.io have had some encouraging results with the latest Gigabyte TB3 add-in card and will be testing in MP 5,1. Will be very interesting to see the results. Hat tip to @itsage. [edit] to correct link
