Anybody HAVE to go to the Cingular store, b/c they need phones for the family?

See, I'd love to camp at and Apple store. However, my sister and mom both need new phones, too. We're gonna go on a new contract, under a new family plan. But, we have to go to Cingular, because they sure as hell aren't getting iPhones.

Anybody doing anything similar?

I was - I even called Cingular to find out where I should buy the iPhone (I have enough in gift cards I have saved up). They said they could do it over, that very moment, and mail me the new phones (fed ex) and I could get the iPhone on Friday and have it activated then. I convinced my partner to get an iPhone so now we are just both going to the Apple store.
