Hello, I have a Macbook Pro 2010 17". It cannot use 4K display. According to the specs, the maximum resolutions for external display is 2560 x 1600. Anybody used this monitor with older Mac that does not support 4K? Can I use 1-2 of the 4 regions of this monitor to have crisp texts and graphics?

Any issue with PWM?

i have this monitor with a newer 2017 Mac. Though i thin it should work with the resolution you have there.
I didnt see any PWM issues.
Regarding the 4 regions, its ok - a bit small for me though.

Do you use it under Mac and Windows? Any scaling issue as experienced by some Windows users using smaller 4K displays?

i'm using it with Mac and windows/parallels if that counts ?
So under parallels, i didn't notice any problem.

Hi, I have the same MBP and monitor as yourself and I'm curious as to whether you're using your monitor connected via a USB-C cable and if so have you been able to upgrade to Mojave (10.14) without issue? My monitor was working fine under High Sierra but now will not connect at all since the upgrade to Mojave (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/lg-43ud79-b-usb-c-not-working.2060607/)
