I never gave up on iTunes 10.7 and got it to work on Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra without losing Mac App Store’s (MAS) functionality. Might also work on Mojave (but I haven’t tested it yet). Here are the steps I follow to revert iTunes 12 to 10.7. https://aoxoa.co/downgrade-revert-from-itunes-12-to-itunes-10-7/
I like iTunes 10.7 because it focuses on being a music/book/media organizing tool that could handle terabytes of music with ease. After 10.7, iTunes became an apps/music/media buying tool. Anyway....
I mainly use my wife's computer for the devices iTunes 10.7 can't handle. However, I do have two iTunes libraries set up on my computer. Therefore, I can switch between iTunes 12 and iTunes 10.7 if I want to mess with my newer apple devices on my own computer. https://aoxoa.co/switch-two-versions-itunes/
Anybody else running iTunes 10.7 on High Sierra?
