We use them for our school tv program's website...and all I can say is stay away! Their control panel is impossible to use and their servers REALLY don't like PHP (I have to modify PHP scripts to make them work, when they run fine on other servers).

Check out a small orange (asmallorange.com). Best web host out there by far.

Take a look at their $7.46 per month plan. It claims to offer 170 GB storage and 2000 GB transfer. Then look at how much a cheap dedicated server costs:

Layered Tech: 80GB HD, 1500GB transfer for $95 per month
The Planet: 80GB HD, ~1500GB (not sure of exact figure) for $120 per month.

Hopefully that will help you to answer your question. If you are looking for a good host, I would suggest Myacen or TJR Networks. :)

thanks for the input. Wow, stay away huh. Its amazing you read all these nice write ups, looks like the control panel may be great but you had a bad experience. I can't find anyone I like , lol. guess its back to checking out small orange. I guess the rankings of webhosts dont hold much weight huh.

A lot of times, these companies pad thier own ratings on those sites.

I run 3 sites on a small orange, and their $4 a month plan works perfect for me, even though one of the sites is our school band site which has tons of audio and video on it and around 300 registered members. I've NEVER had ANY downtime at all.

do they offer any type of ecommerce and mysql support? The site looks kind of bootlegg to me, but hey looks can be deceiving. Everyone on here seems so speak highly of them. wish they listed more info about their service then whats there..
