Anybody's Air got to the sleep a lot straight out of the box?

I'm looking at my wifes Air which I've just opened and it seems to want to go to sleep a lot for no reason. I suspect there could be a problem. I've already reset the SMC and I'm currently fully charging the battery.

Have you looked at the display settings????

Sounds like your energy saving's are set to have it go to sleep early. Make sure, and customize it to your liking.

long journey. probably tired, maybe jet-lagged.

No that wasn't it. I'm talking say 10 seconds sleep awake and then within ten seconds going to sleep again. I still have to examine it some more but it wasn't display settings or energy settings related.
