Anyone actually uses Pixelmator to edit photos?

I actually bought pixelmator on my ipad pro hoping that I would be able to edit photos with it.

So far it is quite useless in terms of fine touching photos. Does anyone actually use it? It seems to be great for photo wide edits such as filters and such but the brushes are very primitive. I'm kind of expecting the brushes I've used in Lightroom.

For example when you want to use an adjustment brush for touching up eyes, there's no control for feathering. It doesn't even highlight the area that you have brushed over.

Am I missing something here? Or is there another app that does this?

I use it on my iMac for editing and my iPad for basic editing. I've found it is good for fixing blemishes and overall adjustments to photos. If I want to do any other fine editing, I'll do it on my desktop computer.

When you say fixing blemishes you are referring to just spot removals or something like that right? Were you able to do editing such as, brighten up some eye bags? I couldn't figure out how to do editing of that sort in iOS. Very easy in LR on desktop.

Often, I'll use more than one program for various results on my iPad. I'll often use Perfectly Clear (I think that's the correct name), Pixelmator and then something like Snapspeed for preset effects. I've not tried to use Pixelmator for what you described as I've found PerfClr takes care of standard beautification of portraits,

Does perfectly clear have the advanced brushing tools I was talking about or are you saying they have a one-click auto fix solution? Those tends to be a bit too aggressive from my experience in the past

One click. You can adjust the strength of whatever edit you are using though.
